1. Exercise to build lean muscle mass. By using strength training exercises 4-5 days a week you can build your basal metabolic rate which means you burn more calories and fat even when you are resting on the couch.
2. Stay hydrated. Your body needs to be fully hydrated in order to allow your metabolism to run strong. Start your day with a glass of water, you naturally get dehydrated during the night.
3. Don't skip meals. If you have a hectic schedule that causes you to skip meals you may be slowing your metabolism.
5. Take an evening walk. By adding activity in your evenings you can boost your metabolism at a time when it is typically slowing down.
6. Sleep. If you want your body to perform optimally for you during the day then you have to give it what it needs at night. Aim to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night and you will rejuvenate your body and accelarate your body metabolism rate.
